Since April 2007, I have been involved as the main Ruby on Rails developer for the World Stock Exchange - one of the world's largest virtual stock exchanges, owned and operated by Australian company Hope Capital.
After inheriting an already substantial code base, I have been tasked with both upgrading the existing system, as well as implementing a host of new features, including the soon to be released WSE4.0 platform.
Integrating heavily with Linden Lab's Second Life application, the WSE boasts well over 20,000 account holders, and is the largest publicly deployed application that Achernar Solutions has recently been involved with.
